I can remember when Trump's ranting and raving about the "illegitimate/fraudulent/stolen etc. etc. election" of 2020 began to gain traction. I said to several people I now that this, for me, was the end of democracy as we know it--the minute that the validity of an election is questioned and a candidate's following (particularly a rabid one, as is the case), promotes this notion, democracy is in the process of dying. Your statement hits the nail on the head "Changes to voting procedures, voter registration requirements, and district boundaries have become CENTRAL POLITICAL STRATEGIES RATHER THAN TECHNICAL ADJUSTMENTS" hits the nail on the head. Dang--which way is up and, more importantly, which way is out of the mire?
But the majority of We the People did not vote for this. Thank you Sheep for watching diligently.

I think it was happening before Trump but is accelerating now. We’re getting further and further away…
